Hi all, I have a dinner function on Friday night and i've bought myself a black cotton shirt with cuff-links as well as mesh brown leather shoes (high cut) from Raoul.

I'm at a loss on what color of pants goes well with this setup... Initially, i wanted to try black pants and black shirt, but i don't think it will work with my brown shoes... plus its boring to be all black...

I'm thinking of khaki coloured pants but they look weird when i pictured them in my mind... any suggestions? Can i get grey pants? Will it work?

Black and brown make me go crazy. My fiance does it sometimes and I have to tell myself to relax. But since you now have the shirt and shoes, and most people won't be fashion gestapo like me, you could go with black pants or khaki pants or possibly olive khaki. NO blue, NO check, NO brown. My man is in another state at a training...now you have me worried... :o)

You cannot wear those shoes with that outfit unless you plan on wearing black slacks and a brown belt. Your shoes and your belt should always match. What I suggest you do it purchase a pair of charcoal grey or plain grey pants and wear black shoes.

I agree with keels and shannon...since you have brown shoes and khaki pants why don't you buy another shirt that will go better with you pants and shoes...a brown shirt will be good

a mild tuqoiuse teal might seem stable, positioned on it undone and then a cami below, white cami of direction, and your going to have an exciting time chosing accesories, brown is going maximum suitable with gold, yet silver is going extra useful with blue, and you will do the two, i might propose employing extra organic accesoires, like wood bracelet, and then necklace, reckoning on what its for pearls may well be ok, and doubtless a powerful stone earing, or in case you bypass with the pearls you would be able to desire to stay with that, or some guy made complienting coloration one.

Actually, black and brown don't suit, and I think that u should wear black shoes. But a bluejeans would look great.
