I am white, however clothing like Baby Phat, Applebottoms and Curvations fit my body type and booty type lol. ( I am very curvy). I have found that clothes made for white chicks are too small on top and bottom. I love the African American look (gold prints, African prints, etc) mostly because I grew up in LA and because it does fit and look good on me but I am afraid about what African American girls might say because at one point I had corn rows in my hair (because of what my job as an airplane mechanic included) and they laughed at me. please help!

If the clothes fit you well I say wear them, the race doesn't matter. Clothing lines such as Apple bottoms and baby phat are made for women who have those curves no matter the race. In my opinion cornrows can look a little odd if your not black because Caucasian hair (along with other races) is so oily and straight. So it doesn't look the same as it would in "our" (meaning black) course hair. That's why cornrows don't look as good on white girls as it does on black girls. However, i still don't see why you can't get your hair like that. I mean if you like it, that's all that matters. It shouldn't matter what anyone says about you, if they're that concerned about how you dress and wear your hair then you should feel special because you're obviously the center of their attention.

Im lightskinned so i can answer this question. decrease back in slavery time, the lightskinned slaves might want to be treated more desirable than the darkish skinned slaves so the lightskinned slaves style of idea that they were slightly more desirable. also, in case you noticed, a lightskinned individual can get a job or be positive in existence swifter than a darkskinned african american. It sucks that the black american is sperated by technique of itself race, yet thats the way it truly is.

It may help to buy the clothes you want and if they don't fit properly just have them tailored. People are going to talk about you because society has everyone brainwashed but do what makes YOU happy!!!

The color of your skin doesn't matter.

If the African American look makes

you happy, then wear it. Don't let anyone

make fun of you. And if they do, ignore

them! Be happy!
