Why wear hollister when....?

and although i positively adore hollister and abercrombie, iam wondering what this made you feel? did it make you want to start shopping at cheaper places?

No because I don't shop in Hollister anyway. The people there aren't nice to you unless you fit in their clothes. And it's not just hollister it's all those stores, Abercrombie, Aeropostale, all of them.



What? Is it because I said the people aren't nice or because I don't shop there? It's the ******* truth, not that anybody would understand when they fit into the clothes. Yes, I am bigger, and no I'm not saying this because 'I hate skinny people' or just because I don't like the clothes, it's honest to god just because the people aren't nice. I went into all those stores with my friend and all of them were nice to her they were ******* bowing down to her to buy clothes, but none of them even said 'hi' to me or even looked at me. I know the point is to sell clothes, but could you at least be nice to me?

not really. people know walking into hollister that they're going to buy the same tank tops for a more expensive price than kohls, or wet seal.



Its kind of the ideology behind all those upscale brands. Why buy chanel when you can buy target? why a Louis Vuitton monogram speedy bag when you can buy a knock off style at Victoria's secret. Why buy Prada Sunglasses when you can buy 5 dollar sunglasses @ forever 21. Its all on the way they fit, how they hold up, and how long they'll last.



Sure that kohls top looks good now, but does it compare to the hollister top after a couple of washes? Don't you also notice that the stuff at hollister usually fits better, while shirts at kohls a lot of the time fit abnormally?



The reason why stores like Kohls & wet seal offer stuff at a cheap price is because its CHEAPLY made. The trendy stuff is only trendy for so long, why pay a high amount of money for something your going to wear twice?



Now see, that simple hollister top, that'll go with this season's jacket. or last seasons jeans

Well I think teens, who don't usually have enough money to buy Gucci and Armani, feel exclusive and high class when they wear overpriced crap. Also, Hollister and Abercrombie are "in" so its a safe choice to make. What people don't realize is that Hollister is made in some sweatshop in China, and its really no different from the clothing found at non-clone stores. Actually I've shopped at Kohls and the clothing there has lasted me a LONG time. :)

Personally, I detest Hollister and Abercrombie. The clothing is boring and bland, Abercrombie promotes sex to teenagers, and Abercrombie has produced racist tees that were intended to be 'humorous'

I don't really buy into the whole name brand thing but my guess would be people can afford the name bramds are braging about there welth with their clothing maybe it's because they feel insecure so the make themselves feel better with expensive clothes or it's a way of putting themselves above other people. In the end it isn't about quality (If it were about quality the fabrics would last longer but as far as I can tell it's pretty cheap fabric) It's about the name and dumb little seagul or moose whatever their symbol is.

Because Hollister is high quality, and a lot cuter than the similar items from cheaper stores.



Even Hollister can be accessible to lower-budgets if you shop in their clearance section. I do, and I can find fantastic deals on adorable clothing.

well, most people shop at hollister because they think it's cute when it has their bird symbol or "HOLLISTER" written on it and the same with abercrombie, but for the most part, hollister and a&f have a better quality of clothing that lasts longer. i personally don't like those stores, just because everyone else shops there though.....

well i'm not into the whole hollister thing anymore, but most people just buy their clothes there because of the logo sown into the clothes. and apparently, more expensive clothing means more quality. i don't agree with that, the shirts there are paper thin. you see, i used to shop there.

well I shop alot around like kohls are tagret but i love holisster but face the facts not everyone can afford the HIGH prces, the style roxs but other places have the same desgins stly colors etc..but not the label

i love hollister. i don't care if its expensive... i have the money to spend!!! also, most of those things weren't the same. i thought the thing at wet seal wasn't nearly as cute. the thing at kohls didn't have the same shape or length. and the thing on ebay was a totally different color, not to mention not the same style. if you like hollister and a&f so much too, then why do you care? why are you dissing them?

no, b/c your price is what your clothes are worth- at one point i started shopping at macy's and jcpenny's for cheap prices- their clothes FALL APART. as compared to when i shop at lucky- i have had their stuff for twice as long, and it still looks pretty new.
