American Eagle and Abercrombie & Fitch are more along the same line. American Eagle has clothes that are not of the same quality as Abercrombie, hence the price is lower. Abercrombie's quality in clothing isn't that much better and their prices have started to skyrocket these past 2 years. It's not in increase in quality either. It's just simple supply and demand.
Now Banana Republic is a lot different from those other two. They have dressier clothes and the quality of the fabric is better than the two. Abercrombie & Fitch can be more expensive than Banana Republic at times.
But basically, American Eagle and Abercrombie & Fitch have casual clothes. Whereas, Banana Republic have more work-oriented clothes and semi-formal wear.

You can put Hollister in the same group as A.E. and Abercrombie. Banana Republic is nothing like that. They have classy stuff. The other stores have casual clothing for a younger target market. Banana is very career/work oriented and is upscale. While A.E. and Abercrombie may seem highly priced as well, the style is totally different than Banana. Banana is just under that "designer" category. A.E. and Abercrombie and Hollister are "speciality". Old Navy tries to fit into the specialty group, but they are a better fit for the "value" market. Gap also falls into specialty.

There's a big difference! Not in the clothes, but in the prices. Abercrombie adn Fitch is so fricken expensive, while American Eagle is fairly priced. I don't know about Banana Republic, though.

They are pretty much the same. The factory that makes Banana Republic, Gap & Old Navy is located in Ohio. My husband and I got a chance to go see this factory and it is off the hook. Did you know that the fabric that is left over from Banana Republic is used to make Gap clothes and the clothes left over from Gap is used to make Old Navy clothes. If you notice that they all share similaries as well and if you notice that Banana R. has better quality and higher price then it's the Gap then Old Navy. Pretty cool huh.
As for AE & Abercrombie I'm not to sure about but good eye on seeing the similarities.

The only difference is that Banana Republic is higher priced, and it is a branch of old navy...and American eagle's jeans are really durable, and they have pretty reasonable price...Abercrombie however has a bigger selection of jeans...and if you want jeans that are ripped, theirs have a lot more holes, not to mention their outragous prices, and their clothes arent even as durable as AE. Other than that there clothes pretty much look the same. I hope that answers your question. =)

They all sell conservative preppy clothes for conservative preppy people...Banana Republic is a little more daring and is known for more upscale attire...as far as for spring and summer attire...all three totally ripped off Eddie Bauer, Lacoste, and Ralph Lauren's Polo....the sad thing is they make clothes for Aston Kutcher and Topher Grace body types..as a 6 foot 2 broad shouldered African American male weighing over 200 lbs...they don't design clothes specifically with me in mine...So I buy Polo, Nautica, Levi's, Rocawear, Sean John, Phat Farm, or Ecko...these brands also have a bit more flava...when I'm not working..I don't want to look like I'm headed to the company picnic.

They run in different sizes and Abercrombie is for the really skinny type, like me, AE is for the medium type, like my friend, and I have never been to BR

Nothing they are all the same i personally think that it is really stupid to even wear clothes like that i mean who cares about your brand name and if i wanted to have my pants ripped i would go somewhere else and buy cheaper pants and rip them myself.
