I'm going into seventh grade and I want help with clothes...I really want to know what the trends are for your clothes, shoes, hair, accessories, everything...like, what's in? I know I should read cosmogirl, but I don't get those magazines lol. So, what are all the trends, basically? What could I wear? I'm slim and tall...yeah.

You may not get cosmo girl but that doesn't mean you still can't can't keep up with everything that they are talking about. Check out http://www.cosmogirl.com/ and right now they have a special section showing you how to update you wardrobe with just the clothes you already have! So maybe you don't really have to get all new clothes, maybe just a few nice pieces and of course that new outfit for the fist day of school. The page is http://www.cosmogirl.com/fashion/diy/diy-update-your-wardrobe

Also look at Teen Vouge where you can also find all kinds of great fashion trends http://www.teenvogue.com/

Well... Pretty much what everyone else said... I'm 12 and going into the seventh grade also, and i get cosmogirl, gl, and seventeen. I personally think that maybe darker skinny jeans with a longer light blue tank and a maybe white short vest over that would look nice... kind of skater chic and preppy girl mix.

I hope that helped!

I saw a couple girls looking too hot in colorful long tight t-shirts and those tight bicycle tight pants.

When I say too hot, I mean, it was 100+ degrees out and they were way overdressed. They looked more silly and pretend dress-up than fashionable.

Fashion comes and goes, but basic cotton t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and simply jackets are always in style.

School should not be a fashion show, and it's not Halloween every day. Some of the prettiest girls in my classes at school wear the simplest of clothes and look just great. I live in a farm town, and the farm kids in their t-shirts and jeans are more relaxed and comfortable with themselves than the unhappy Goths and the girls worried about being fashion plates. One girl always looks cute in cutoff shorts and a lace t-top and flip flops, and she is much more happy and beautiful than those two girls dressed up for the mall.

Try Abercrombie and Fitch.com, or jcrew.com for websites and catalogs of real clothes that look good, are appropriate for the weather, and are comfortable.

Why not take them shopping once they arrive? Not all young girls like the same kinds of clothes. If you must have outfits for them when they first come, try a store like Justice or Limited Too for the younger one. For the older one, I'm not really sure. She may want more "mature" clothes since she's in middle school. Or she may not. I wore really dorky clothes at that age and I didn't really mind. I guess it depends on the personality and personal taste of each girl.

Don't bother with trends. They come and go faster then most people change their underwear. Seriously. Wear what you are comfortable wearing. Just don't dress like you belong in a rap video or britney spears video okay? Because that is just so wrong to see girls that young dressing provocatively. It's even wrong to see it sometimes on older women.

wear what you like deff. Stores like Target,Forever21,Charlett Russe, Macy's,Hollister,AE, and Jcpenny's are all good. Trends that i like for your age is-

skirt/dress w/leggings

polo shirt w/bramuda's

short sleeve sweatshirt w/jeans

skinny jeans

t shirts

flats

converse

chunky jewlery

pearls

Dont go to fancy. It would look wiierd if a 7th grader was wearing really dressy clothes. You can borrow those magazines from your local and school library if you really wanted to.

If your slim and tall i think you should get some

long tanks and tees, they make shirts with longer waists

i love them cus when you sit down your back dosnt show!

also skinny jeans that stretch with flats! comfy!

mmmm i dont know just stick with 3 colors so you can work up a bunch of diff matching outfits.....every time i shop i get all one color so eventually i have a couple of each colors to mix n match!

good luck!
