Question:
Can guys wear colorful pants?

I have a pair of pink pants, white pants, and some other colors. I go to a prep school, and a lot of the guys wear bright/colorful pants(khakis,chinos,cords,etc)... I was just wondering if, to women, it tells something about the guy. Like should I go out in, say, pink pants? Will it seem that I'm gay? (Nothing wrong with it, but I am a happy straight kid). So yeah, basically I'm asking if women think its (gay) or weird to see guys wearing pink pants(or other colors rather then the norm).

By the way, I don't just wear them with like a tee. I usually wear a nice pair with like either a pair of "dressy shoes" (oxfords, driving mocassins), a nice button down, occasional sweater, and other accessories.

So, Ladies and Gentlemen, if you see a guy wearing a solid colored pant that is a color that you usually don't see regularly, what is your first impression on him? Is it that he's gay, or he's a well dressed man, or just a regular person, etc?

P.S.. I'm 15 years old. haha

Thanks, all!

Well if it's pink, I wouldn't like it, it kind of sends out another message. Red, khaki, blues, or any other color is fine as long as it's not too neon, like yellow. I like colored pants though, you seem like you dress really well!:) so if you can pull it off show those colored pants off. I wear colored pants too!:)

There's a guy I grew up with who would wear whatever he wanted (including bright pink pants), style his hair in crazy ways (leopard spotted mohawks, shaving designs onto his head, etc.), and live on the edge (he'd constantly have injuries from motorcycle crash injuries). He's living his dream life and has a lot of ladies who wouldn't mind hooking up with him-the last thing anyone things is that he's gay. It's all about how you present yourself, and if someone teases you for it tell them that quite frankly you don't care what they think of you, you'll wear what you want. If you're going to be classy about it I'd just think you're a classy gentleman; personally. I had a college professor (recently retired) who would come to class in a suit every day, and one of those suits was a soft pink one. The only bad things people thought about him were from how he could act awkwardly sometimes (that, and he always had on a fun tie, so he was known for his ties as well, ha-ha).

Dress in what makes you happy. If people get you down for it, they're honestly shallow souls who don't belong in your life. If you have that kind of self-confidence to break the mold then run with it! These days individuality is prized, so if someone gave you grit just turn the tables on them.

Well, if he was wearing colorful pants with say....a polo or buttoned down shirt or just very nice stuff then I'd think he was cute! but if he was wearing like the pink pair of skinny jeans with like a black shirt and a scarf? I (as a bad yet human natured person) would think gay.

to me- gay= male+ SCARF

but thats all!

Honestly, if you seem comfortable/confident in them, it doesn't really matter! If that's your style just go for it! However if you'll feel self conscious because its not your style than just stick to what your comfortable in. People always look better in things that suit their personality/style. Personally, if I saw a guy wearing pink pants, I wouldn't really think he was gay unless he gave some other indication. I would probably just think that's the way he likes to dress!

Don't wear colored pants man they make you look kind of gay, I could understand colored shorts but not pants. I mean its okay to wear like maroon or khaki, gray, dark brown, black pants but there's a big difference from maroon and pink or yellow.

there are a lot of people that would assume you were gay----but if you are wearing them in the classic prep style---and it sounds like you are, then you should be go to go bro---just make sure you are wearing them with good oxfords or polos and keep your accessories to a minimum---by the way the best shoe to wear with those would be classic Sperry Topsiders

EW. Stay away from purple, yellow, orange, blue, etc. Just stick to black, gray, white, blue and normal jean colors. But dont wear bright, radiant colors. ESPECIALLY SKINNY JEANS. Just; no. It makes guys look gay. (no offense). Just tips. Normal is good. But maybe once in a while go with a yellow or blue. Try some new things. But dont make it your entire wardobe. Dear God...

Absolutely!! A man who is secure in his "manliness" is not afraid of color. And, color surely has nothing to do with one's sexual preference!

Just wear whatever thebfuck you what XD the way you present yourself to people leaves a deeper indent of who you are then the clothes you wear. Fashion is gender neutral

Colors like blues, deep orange, deep yellow, deep green, forest green, white, black, gray, brown and burgundy are colors that would look nice. Other colors would imply that you are either trying too hard or you're flamboyant in appearance and character.

My first impression is that he's a really rich boy and I could probably beat him up. I'm a girl by the way.

yeah totez wear it, it's not even a fashion risk. In fact, it's pretty tame. I always see bright pastel pants on frat dudes and jocks.
