i'm not at all trying to be high maintenance and snobby about the situation, but just recently my mom met up with one of her friends who
"somehow" get's chanel, D&G, and tiffany & co products "supposedly" from NY and sells them here. he brought a couple purses to my house which i fell in love with especially seeing as how they were only 25 dollars. He said they were real, so i agreed to buy one. i know people will end up saying how i have no common sense or something because obviously an authentic chanel is like 1500 dollars, and would never in a million years be any lower than 100. but i thought, hey well he seems like a gentleman, and who knows he prbly never even paid a cent, one of his friends prbly stole it. yeah that's what his friends do. but can someone please tell me if my purse is real, i mean authentic is usually better but i also don't want to walk around with a fake chanel and be obvious about it. it kinda makes me look cheap and sorta like a wannabe. besides my mom has an identical one as mine, except hers is more black than white and her's already somehow fell apart, and we've only had them for like 2 weeks. some help, please and thank you? best answer get's 5 points.

P.S, NOOOO RUDE COMMENTS!!!

Its not. Chanel doesn't tie nots on tha sides and doesnt use a tag for name. It'll be good 2 carry everyday like running for errands but not if u gotta be sumwhere showin off old friends.

One look at the pictures from those links tell me that the bags are counterfeits. No, your friend did not steal the bags from a Chanel store or a UPS/Fed Ex truck. He probably bought those bags in bulk from a person who sells them in flea markets/Canal Street in NYC/purse parties. Some people are blind to what is a real Chanel bag is. They naturally assume just because they see the word "Chanel" written somewhere on the bag or the infamous CC logo, it is authentic.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't. Heed those words!

The silver ring that holds the strap has Chanel written on it, compared to the fakes which do not. plus sometimes the bag's color looks faded. and also, fakes are made out of cheap material so it wont last long

Your mother's bag is almost exactly like yours and is falling apart after two weeks. You answered your own question. You get what you pay for, and your bag wouldn't be worth even 25 dollars without the fake designer logo.

definitly not. the logo doesn't look authentic at all, and the bags usually don't have that many interlocking c's. sorry.
