What is the difference between prom dresses and wedding dresses?

I can't tell what the difference between them except for the color. Is there like some style difference? Cause i can't see any style differences. Please someone tell me because it's been bugging me.

A prom dress can be any color. Mostly blue, pink, red, and sometimes white. A wedding dress is traditionaly white. Unless its ur second marrage its normally off white or peach. Hope i helped!
