abercrombie?

o.k. dont answer my question if you are racist or dont care! any way, im an african american/hispanic and i saw this really nice jacket at abercrombie for around $40. my mom said we could get it, but now im having second thoughts about their clothing. people say its really trashey and you are like a walking billboard when you wear their products, and im not so much from the welthier end of the stick either. my mom she said i could get it because i got all a's on my report card. but is it really worth it? should I really buy their products?

Di you like it? I know sometimes peer pressure and what your friends say can seem like the law but your the person who has got to wear it. Most people hear a rumor or read it online and it snowballs from there. Yes, I have heard about their questionable hiring practice, funny thing is you read it and it sounds horrible but then I have friends who are black and/or hispanic and they got hired the first time they applied and 2 have gone pretty far up the ladder with the company. So there goes that argument. And truth be told I have several pieces from them and noone has looked at me or said anything about why am I shopping there, plus it's my money and if I like something I'm going to wear it. Congrats on your report card

if you want to wear something you should wear it because you want to and you feel comfortable in it.

p.s i've also heard about that store being racist. At first i heard it from a couple of people, but a couple days ago i heard this girl in my class say that when she worked there the store had a hiring policy which described how an employee should look like. I was shocked when she said that the employee should be white blue eyed and thin. It's really sad if that is still going on today.

once apon a time ago. abercrombie was selling racist t-shirts. but they are not racist now. the jacket is only 40 dollars so thats not alot of money. it is worth every penny. as long as you dont wear anything that has ABERCROMBIE on the front of it then its ok ur not a walking billboard

I heard that the store was rasist too. I heard that from my friend she said her sister (shes asain) worked at the sstore and had to always work at the back? But idk.

Actually i dont think you should buy it not because of that stuff, because there prices are high for stuff that arent even so great.

Try roxy, or billabong. They are cute things and it isnt that much $$.

If you like the style of the jacket then get it.... Not all of their clothing has 'A&F' plastered across it and if it's one of their winter jackets them it most likely only has the tiny moose symbol in the corner. So, if it's cute and $40 is definitely a great sale price then why not...?

i usually shop there and at hollister but most of the time their jackets are over priced. I bought one from there and ias soon as i ripped off the tag , i regreted buying it. So make sure u really really want it before you buy it.

if you like it you should get it .... i think they had a bad rap for only hiring the all American type ---but they said they'd stop they were doing it for business not because they were racist...the clothes are pretyy good quality ...i'm a white mom of a 16 year old and she calles me gettho ...but i could care less --if i see a style or brand i want ...........i get it and dont think twice about my work mates or my know it all kids....but get ready for peoples comments ....(do it)

its "sub-urban clothing" thats what they call it,mostly people in the burbs where it,i live in the inner city and its mostly "urban clothing" like sean john and fubu, there not racist i mean i see african americans where it all the time, but in the burbs it aint about race its about enviorment. like a white dude in the inner city would where "urban clothing", thats how it usually works
