I really LOVE Jeans so much and your parents don't let you wear jeans but your friends do wear jeans everyday because that some people do wear Jeans everyday that they want jeans are good and You are very tired to your parents you should sit with them and maybe your parents wear Jeans too and what I think that your religion can or can't wear jeans at all just do it talk to them if your really want to wear Jeans so bad!! I guess it would be good idea!
GOOD LUCK!!

If you really want to wear a jeans and your parents are not allowing you then i know how difficult it is for a girl to go against their parents but beside this girls have their own desire as well .I would suggest to make them understand that wearing jeans is not a big deal .Almost every girl use to wear it and try wearing jeans with long alternatives first then perception of your parents might be changed.

I wasn't allowed to wear jeans either. I remember all the girls were wearing a certain brand of jeans and my mom refused to buy them for me. Then, I think my dad let me buy them.
I think it harkens back to when jeans first came out, during Elvis days, when they were considered by Christian fundamentalists as immoral or wrong because they were associated with rock music.
You don't have to wear tight tight jeans. That looks ugly anyway. And thank G_d those low rises aren't in anymore because they never fit me correctly!
Anyway, maybe go to the mall and tell the sales associate that you don't want really tight revealing jeans, but something smart and stylish. If they can't give you that, then go somewhere else.

*****, if you want to wear jeans wear them lol. I'm joking, kind of. I know it's hard but disobey your parents and wear them. Idk how old you are but I've been wearing jeans since I can't remember and I'm 15 now. They are flattering and comfortable. Not all jeans hug your body, mine does because they are skinny jeans but they are nice. For me I have an hourglass figure. I have bigish boobs (C cup) and a flat stomach, I also have hips and a big butt. Jeans really helps to conquer this looks when you wear clothes. But I love jeans, wear them almost everyday. Hope this helped, probably didn't because I blabbed on about myself . Sry

Try a compromise like Jeggings ( look like jeans but are actually cotton) or see if your parents will let you get a pair that isn't skinny jeans. Or you could also promise to wear a long tunic over the jeans.

Are you Indian? I am from Pakistan and ALL the Indian girls at my high school were not allowed to wear jeans either, for the same reason that you are describing. Most just hid them in their backpacks and wore them to school. One girl got to wear them where she was 17 and in her senior year. It helped her self esteem a lot.
Here is the thing, it is going to be a lot of work but so is asking over and over again, but what you need to do is try to get them to get a family therapist or a therapist for yourself. Try not to pick someone who is obsessed with their own culture. You live in the states now and it is not appropriate to just stick to your own cultural ideals and I think that is what is going on with you family. You can obviously keep some ideals but this whole thing about not being allowed to wear jeans when it was literally a social issue in the 1950s is really crazy of them to insist on maintaining.
Try to get a therapist and over time the therapist will work with you and get the family in a more modern period. The point of therapy is to find a comfortable ground in the modern time we live in now. Wearing jeans is within that norm. You are asking something very reasonable to conservative parents. Try to get a good therapist. I know a lot of Indian kids in my school that got therapists and their parents relaxed a bit after a while. Ask the school therapist if they can help find someone. Look for someone that has an understanding of BOTH cultures. Again, don't pick someone who just wants you to worship or something that has nothing to do with the issue at hand.
Good luck!!!

I don't understand what's so bad about jeans? What do u usually wear to school? But if it's religion, you just have to respect that. Maybe you should make a compromise and if they still won't budge just be ok with it, and be good If you bring it up on a random conversation they may realize how good you have been and may be a little bit more flexible.
Hope I helped good luck!

Have you tried talking to them about it? There's nothing wrong with jeans and not all of them are tight. Jeans ARE a good alternative like Thomas said. There's loose jeans out there.

First of all, don't be like some girls who go behind their parents backs and change into them later. Just try to make them understand that there are other types of jeans that won't reveal your curves. Also, try to ease them in and maybe say that you will pay for them (if you want). If they say no again, it is probably for a good reason. Even if it isn't, don't stress because it's just JEANS. Jeans are clothing for style. If you want to be stylish, create your own style. Everyone is stylish in their own way.
Hope this helped! :)

Sit down and have a serious talk with them. Just let them know that it's making you feel left out in school. Just really just make them understand that just like every other teenager you want to fit in.
Then....
Try and convince them to take you shopping. (Preferably your mom).
Let her see you try on a pair of loose fitting jeans. Please don't grab skinny jeans or Jeggings (super fitted) or else they'll never let you wear jeans.
But try to find some like the picture I've attached below.
I also left you a link.
I understand what it's like to have parents that don't let you do what everyone else can do. They love you, but they don't understand sometimes.

You could try wearing jeggings. You can get some that really look like jeans but aren't actually jeans, so I guess it would be a good compromise!

If you are very concerned about your jean's tightness and it exposing your body shape then wear a jean less tighter such that you would be comfy wearing it and even your parents would let you do what you wanted to do.

i'm so sorry lol what do you wear then?! but tell them not all jeans are super tight. jeans are supposed to be fitted and look good that way. and just make it known that all of your friends and everyone at school wears them. they're allowed at school for a reason, they're not allowed because they show off your ***. they're appropriate and nice when worn correctly. you could even say people are starting to ask you about why you can't wear them and you feel uncomfortable and embarrassed talking about it. good luck!

Do you get allowance? If you do, you can always buy yourself jeans. You can also ask your friends to let you try their jeans. Who knows, some girls may like to switch their clothes with someone else for fun or even give them to you.
You can also tell your parents that not all jeans are tight such as boyfriend jeans or loose jeans.

Maybe just compromise and wear looser-fitting jeans or just wear longer shirts on top. Either way you should definitely be able to wear jeans since they're really not that revealing or anything.

Jeans are comfortable, durable, versatile and functional. They don't have to be the skinny spray-on kind; if your parents are worried about you wearing clothes that are too tight, let them know you only want to wear properly fitting styles, and less "sexy" styles like straight leg or bootcut. Kind of ridiculous that they say no to jeans altogether, but my parents were the same way.

If you get an allowance or have a job, disobey and buy them yourself. They're jeans. It's not a $500 dollar laptop or phone - everyone owns a pair of jeans. If it's because you like the more form fitting type of jeans, just compromise a little bit and buy a less form fitting type. Remember, in the end they're still your parents. Respect them a little bit. :) x

Your parents are trying to keep you from growing up since ur hitting puberty they don't want boys looking at you. But you're gonna grow up and get older no matter what you wear so you might as well wear jeans atleast you don't wear clothes that are too revealing.

I suggest telling your parents that you can get bootcut jeans. In reality, the only jeans that are tight are skinny jeans, super skinny jeans, and jeggings. There are so many different styles of jeans! I also agree with Chloe!
2015-11-18 15:51:12 UTC
There are different types of jeans, some are not tight and they flare out at the bottom so I would suggest those, try to search for different types of jeans, good luck.

As many others have said, I would try to find a pair that ARN'T very tight, like bootcut jeans. I have kind of the opposite problem. My parents don't let me skirt half a centimeter above my knees. Well, what are the odds?

What kind of jeans you want to wear????
?
2015-11-16 05:05:11 UTC
OMG that's ridiculous! Jeans are not as revealing as skirts or shorts, especially short ones. Although tight skinny jeans show your figure more and your parents are probably concerned about guys hitting on you. I say you wear what you want as long as it's not too revealing. It is your choice anyway, not anybody elses.

2015-11-16 04:37:57 UTC
Omg! Everyone wears tight skinny jeans. What is wrong with your parents? I'd buy a few pairs and keep them at a friends house. On the way to school, stop by there and change into them, then change back on the way home.

Don't wear clothes that are too revealing. If you really want too, you can buy a pair, or have a friend and put them on when you get to school and change before going home.
2015-11-15 19:35:59 UTC
There is nothing you can do once you are under your parents home do as they say. Jeans can be uncomfortable at times you really not missing out on anything

2015-11-15 19:29:03 UTC
Go buy your own jeans and shove them in your locker at school so when you get there just change in the bathroom. And if you don't have money then too bad it's your parents money buying it so you'll have to go by their rules. Or you can borrow your friends' or something.

First of all try to calm down as this is not a big issue. I know it may be difficult for you to take decision against your parents then you can try to convince them. Sometimes parents don't understand your views on certain condition or certain situation but if you convince them with the proper explanation they will understand better and support you.

I feel bad for you. but maybe you can find something inbetween that youll like and your parents wont mind. You dont have to wear skinny jeans, maybe you can try to try on wider jeans at first or bootcut! those are cute if you know how to style them, plus you can always wear joggers/stylish sweatpants! those are also cute (: hope this helps
