ok here's the deal.
please help me find a prom dress that covers the back.
all i can find is strapless and ones that completely
show the back. i need one that covers the back because i have a scar down the middle of my back that will eventually fade. but for now...i just need a dress that will hide it. the scar goes completely down my back. please help! =]

Try Google or Yahoo to search for a dress. A cute dress with cap sleeves might be a good option. If you're comfortable enough, you might choose a strapless dress that just shows a little bit of your back. If you wear your hair down, people won't even notice. Since it's for homecoming, I gave some shorter dresses.

Some people might not even notice because they'll be having too much fun to worry about your back. That's exactly what you should be doing too, having fun instead of worrying about your back. I know how you feel, I get very insecure about my body sometimes.

I end up thinking worse things about myself than others do.

If it's really bothering you try to find a pretty dress that does not show or expose your back you can still look and feel sexy and beautiful without bearing your back.

i kno it seems like a good idea to hide it, but i think u shouldnt care if ur scar is there. it shows what uve been through and since it will fade, it seems like u shouldnt worry about it. but since u want to hide it, i know macys and jc penney have prom dresses, just get one u want and then take it to a tailor to get something added on top so it wont be seen, thik like the top of the pink dress in pretty in pink.good luck!

try going to real stores when it is actually prom time. i would start looking in january maybe and buying about a month before prom. i found tons of dresses w/o a low back. they just are not usually online. go for something more classic and it wil come up higher in the back. its a bit to early to look now.

Hey, i am sorry about your dilemma! I think the best would be googling prom dresses with high back or something. you kinda have search for a while... look at the images... cuz i dont know what color, style, or fabric you like, you know?

have you thought about using one of those thin shoulder shawl type thingys? looks like a giant scarf, only much thinner and prettier and used for the back and shoulders insead of the neck. they are so pretty, and elegant. perfect for a prom.
