My grandparents want to get me a watch for graduation and are willing to spend up to and around $400. What brands are better than others. Also should I expect to some sort of "perpetual motion" that many brands advertise, around this price range. I want to have the watch last me the rest of my life. Also what do you guys think of Tissot?

I was looking at this one:
http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10311203&whse=BCCA&Ne=4000000&eCat=BCCA|108|110&N=4009073&Mo=29&pos=4&No=13&Nr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&cat=179&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-CA&Sp=C&ec=BCCA-EC1128-Cat108&topnav=

this is sort of close to what I am looking for.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

LOVE tissot, so if they will buy you one, go for it. I also like Raymond Weil.

You should aim for a Swiss brand, and you will enjoy it forever. My husband has his dad's old Rolex, and he will pass it on in time, too.

Get a kenneth cole, fossil or deisel watch, they run from 85 to 150 bucks and they have a long warranty, and the rest of the money that is left over you could use it for spending money for the summer.

Well,......... there's nothing like a Rolex or Cartier ( will hold it's value for EVER!! )

But for $400 get what you feel you like today! bc it's a trendy thing for you now!

Not an investment :-(

Why don't you ask for a simple stainless Rolex,.... who knows u just might get it!!
