I'm hosting a fancy dress day for Children In Need in my school this Friday and urgently need some fancy dress ideas seeing as I'm the one pressuring every student in the school I'm in to take part! The only problem is that I live in such a rural area I won't have a chance to go into a fancy dress shop and buy costumes. :). My mum suggested I go as a police officer as I do have a police hat but I'm not so keen on the idea seeing as it's basically a school uniform and a hat and I want to be creative without being out of pocket.

Simple Outline - Cheap and creative costume ideas suitable for a seventeen year old girl, brunette, tall. :) x Thank You!

I would have suggested a Mad Hat day - much more manageable but if you want to go the whole hog try something like Alice in Wonderland.

The way to tackle this is to look at what you have in your wardrobe and then think what you can adapt - I had to go to a 'Casblanca' themed party once - nothing at all suitable but I did have a black jacket with rather wide labels - so I stuck some white keys on the lapel and went as the piano (You must remember this ...)

I do not know what your funds is, however i've recognized girls who've found quite lovely attire in thrift shops for beneath ten bucks! If you could find the money for shopping some thing at a thrift store i'd are trying it. Some of my favourite matters i have purchased "already used." If you don't have any money to buy garments then i would seem in your closet and pull out ever single piece of apparel that looks fancy. Silks or anything with based patterns will do. Eclectic remains to be in, so even though you take something that is best relatively lovely and flirty, you can pair it with a pair things that are extra fancy and get the proper seem. I have no idea how the extent of fancy you might be looking for, however if it is proper, you might put darkish jeans with a light, springy prime, heels, a cute, matching purse and might be cubic zirconia earings. Do your hair in a semi-formal approach and you're good to head. If denims is not going to do, then you could put on a skirt (make sure it is at least slightly above the knee or longer due to the fact that this is formal) and do the equal factor. If in case you have a horny spring jacket that may work with it too, or put a scarf over a extra simple watching blouse. Truly, you simply need to pair anything simple with some thing a bit of extra fancy. Highlight one or two things you might be wearing. You're going to seem fine. Have a just right time!

I like both. But so long as the individual is comfortable using it, that's all that counts.

I think blonde hair is actually sexiest, but brown hair can be really sexy too. Black hair is actually never sexy. It's just really boring and boring and flatters few complexions. Blonde hair looks best with azure eyes.

I love long skirts, because alot of people like short ones probably. Not that a nice group of legs isnt nice to see, I simply have always prefered a little mystery

Tanner skin is better for brunette hair and paler skin is far better for black hair.

I think you could quite easily manage to dress up as Lady Gaga - considering the amount of weird and wacky outfits she wears, you could literally throw anything you own together and wear it! Maybe you could make a creative dress out of plastic shopping bags, do your hair in her classic 'bow' style (there are several tutorials showing you how to on Youtube). Basically throw any outfit together, as long as it is weird and unusual people will easily be able to tell what you are dressed as!

What about a roman or Greek goddess? You could just use a bed sheet or something and a gold rope around your waist. Curl your hair and make it wavy and get some sort of head-dress from online. I think there's YouTube videos about how to fasten your 'dress', probably better as it would take me ages to type it all out to you. Good luck!
