Black opaque tights for work?

I have the following outfit for work.

After some useful advice I will be wearing it to work tomorrow with a thick black belt and chunky necklace however I will be meeting a guy for a drink after work.

In the picture the outfit is put with black opaque tights, I love wearing them and I think they go great with the outfit however some people have giving me advice before to go with flesh coloured tights.

What do you girls and guys think about opaque black tights for work and for play?

Opaque tights are very fashionable this year. They look good and slim the legs- wear them with the same colour shoe and they elongate the leg.



A word of advice would be to wear good quality ones (Marks) as they don't bobble or develop 'stretch marks' of fading after a few wears. M&S also do 'cool in summer, warm in winter' fabric for your comfort.

You could wear the flesh/tan tights during the day and change into the black opaque tights to go out

i don't really like the black opaque tights with this dress i think the black opaque tights work better with shorter dresses



i would go for a plain black tight either black or barely black



if you are wearing a chunky belt and are pulling the dress up a bit to make it shorter then the opaque tights would prob look ok



and i think whatever you wear for work is fine for the evening

I also love black opaque tights and think that they are great with this type of outfit in any situation - have a wonderful time.

In the winter I wear opaque loads, they are a great coverer of all sins, and if you wear a short(er) skirt/dress they make you look classy whereas lighther tights can look a little trashy.



Personally, I find flesh coloured a bit old fashioned looking and avoid them like the plague!

Black opaque tights are perfect with this outfit. The solid black complements the green perfectly. Flesh coloured tights wouldn't look as nice I don't think.

Opaque tights rock, I love my 60 denier and 100 denier woolly ones, Ive lived in those during autumn winter. Where do you work? Do jumper dresses really go with the office look, I thought it was skirt/trousers blouses/tops? You'd have the tights and heels look right though.

You've answered your own question, you love wearing them, and you like the way they go with the outfit.

It looks perfectly okay to me, the guy is having a drink with you, you should wear what is comfortable for you.

Black tights are attractive, they add a bit of mystery in an attractive way, but you could always bring another pair of tights to change into, if other peoples opinions are that important to you.

If you work with the guy, it will be obvious you have changed your tights for his benefit, if you do change them.

I think the tights in the picture are cool for work. Personally speaking I think you should wear flesh coloured tights or even 10/15 Denier silky black tights. It can give you added sex appeal for a hot date without looking slutty.

depends where you work. and the shoes, if you work in more of a business setting, and you keep it sensible with a nice pair of pumps you could pull it off maybe.
