I have a 5 1/2 yr old daughter that i cant find jeans for (ohter than boys). They are all cut so low that when she sits half her bottom pops out. I dont think this is cute or even appropriate for little girls. And I dont think she should have to wear boy jeans. Can anyone help me find some "normal" jeans for her? By the way before anyone asks. no she is not fat or overweight but she does have kind of a big butt.

Sadly, fashion is teaching little girls how to whore themselves out at a younger and younger age. Kudos to you for being such a good, responsible parent and trying to dress her appropriately. Look at Target. They have lots of cute kids clothes that are age appropriate.

where do you usually get the jeans from? i have a 6 year old niece and all the jeans i bought her fit perfectly. if the clothing stores isn't the case, then i think you've bought her the wrong size. most of the parents tend to go for a size bigger since little kids grow fast and less than a 2 months the jeans usually won't fit anymore..so what i think you should do is to buy jeans which comes with a waistband so you can adjust it til it fits perfectly on your daughter. all you need to do is to teach her how to tie the string together which i'm sure she'll learn it in a day :]

Perhaps Levis or Wranglers are playing fair. Don't worry about "boys" verses "girls" in such jeans. They really are uni-sex. Of course, some girls begin earlier than others to challenge the ability of a good pair of jeans to shape to one's own body when they are worn. Don't let her buy them too tight, especially since she is growing fast. At 5 1/2, she should be able to wear their no-nonsense type styles for several years before fit becomes a problem.

That's probally the style now a days.little girls want to look more "grown up"..i dont think it's appropriate either, but if you probally ask the people at the store or look at her jeans on the tag most likely it will say what type of jeans they are..for example every pair of jeans at old navy have something on the tag that say what kinda fit they are (low rise, mid rise,ect.).just look at the tag or make her try it on at the store before you purchase them.im not a mother but i have a 4 year old niece that i take shopping all the time.i dont want her going around looking like a miniature garden tool so i make her try everything on before i buy it of just hold on to the receit if you dont have much time to try everything on.

It's ridiculous. The community is always talking about girls looking like sl^ts and h*es but it is really there fault for making clothes that fit that way. (I'm not calling your daughter a sl^t! i have respect) they should be ashamed having girls dress any kind of way at such young ages. And to top it all off boys pants are falling all of boys behinds (GROSS!) Girls too small, boys too big. Anyway you can go to Burlington Coat factory. They don't just sell coats and it's not a thrift store. You can got to burlingtoncoatfactory.com.

That's the result of lazy and stupid marketing "geniuses" who think everything has to fit the trends. They don't realize that not all of us want to look trendy, but their jobs would be a lot harder if they couldn't try to dictate trends.

What's important, though, is that you keep your daughter clothed. If boys' jeans fit her, well, that's all you can do about that. I don't know if jean manufacturers make different styles (straight leg, relaxed fit, baggy, etc.) for kids that age/size as they do for adults, but as she gets older, your daughter might be OK with wearing whatever style fits her.

have you tried looking for high waisted jeans. I read in an article some where that they were coming back in fashion. Sometimes wrangler jeans arent cut too low. and buying jeans with a lil lycra in them will help with her "big butt", it gives alot more than just plain denim.

That is sad - our society is really pushing a single image for girls, even at such a young age. I would try Old Navy. Their clothes are so bad. Good luck.

i think of it is trashy and performed specially for interest. To the lady above who thinks that maximum women say this out of jealousy, no longer actual. i can absolutely pull this off, yet i % to no longer gain this. it is beside the point. i purchase the low upward push thongs so as that they gained't be exhibiting.

Just ask her what she likes and if you don't she might withdraw from you in a few years, just tell her to keep it in reason. and maybe a few pairs of boy's jeans are ok to start with.
