Well if you read the article then you know that he wants to cater to a specific brand of kids. He wants the cool popular good looking kids to basically become walking advertisements. It's his business decision whether to make large sized clothing or not. He doesn't want large people to wear his clothing so be it. It's ultimately his choice. If you don't like guess what?

DON'T BUY IT

I doubt he said that in a interview, seriously. I agree that their shirts do run small, they are meant to be worn skin tight which I don't think is very attractive. I think abercrombies jeans run big. I'm 16 and can still shop at the kids store and wear a 00 at the adult store. Hollister is teen sizes (juniors) that why they run so small. Abercrombies tops do run small But that is just the way it is, thats life. If that is your biggest concern at the moment, you have an awesome life. Have a great night : )

I think American Eagle is Larger than what they should be. I wear a size 00 and American Eagle Makes it look like a size 5. Their clothes are huge. Hollister Shirts fit me as long as I get X-Small but I do think they should have 00 jeans instead of just 0.

noo, aeropastle does, im a size 00 in there stores, and i love hollister and abercrombie yes i'm like an large there and not even close to being obese. there are so many people bigger than me so its like you havta be thin to fit into their clothing. also they never change their styles, always same jeans and shirts. personally i dont like either store.3 days ago Report Abuse 0 Rating: Good Answer0 Rating: Bad AnswerJohn. Yes. I think they're designed that way, and more for either buff people. The small sizes make them look more "cut"Definitely. I can't buy shirts there anymore because my chest is too big now! They really do make their sizes for twigs. My sister is 17 years old and super skinny and she wears a large! I mean, I know this is good for some girls who do have problems finding small clothes to fit them but I also think they need to expand their lines, which will in turn expand their customer-base. Overall, I gave up trying to shop at those places a long time ago. They're clothes don't fit right and they charge too much for them. 3 days ago Report Abuse Rating: Good Answer0 Rating: Bad Answer Zomutt I like the sizing better at A&F and HCO because they aren't baggy or too loose. They are fitted much better than other clothes. I guess you have to have the right body for it through, if you're someone with more of a curvey figure, it might be a problem. Stores in general, I love the theme and vibe that they give off. I also like the image of their brands. well i still fit in them but at Abercrombie and Hollister i wear a medium or large and at american eagle i am a small. I bet they would have alot more customers if they expanded there sizes Nope, there's nothing wrong with the sizing. I don't understand why everyone says their clothes are "too small" It's true to size! and I like them both!

Holler!!! I work for abercrombie and get 40% off but can't fit into the clothes...so I buy all the sweaters and stuff from the guys....then mix it in with the long layer shirts from hollister!

Their clothes aren't small..

Everyone else's are big.

A&F and Hollister sizes have gotten bigger.. [or I've gotten smaller] But I went into other stores.. And what should be a large.. has become a small! Its soo hard to find anything that fits right in other stores but A&F and Hollister.

The size issue goes both ways. There just happens to be fewer on the "clothes are too big for me" side.

Trust me.. We get just as offended as you do.

I actually used to work at AE and their clothes have gotten way smaller over the years (especially their jeans) because they are in huge competition with Hollister.

Hollister's sizes are smaller because they are the California version of Abercrombie (who owns Hollister). They go by the California cliche that everyone is skinny and super concerned about health food and exercise. Besides this, there was a huge market for jeans for the super skinny girls who couldn't fill out regular jeans. Abercrombie probably found more and more girls who shopped at their store fit that discription and decided to market to them. The bulk of the people who shop their fit the bill.

On the other hand, Abercrombie's sizes for their bottoms are not made smaller than normal. I just bought some the other day and the reason why I love them is because they fit true to size and they fit WELL on top of that. Whereas, at AE I would wear like 2 or 3 sizes bigger! However, some of Abercrombie's tops are made smaller.

Keep in mind that different styles of jeans and different cuts are going to fit differently. I don't wear the same size in every style of jean at Abercrombie, etc. It varies from style to style. So make sure you try on a lot of different styles. :)

I AGREE! I am the same size as you. It really makes you feel fat or something; it sucks. But they do it for a specific reason. I stopped wearing their clothes though. Not because of the sizes, but because TOO many other people wear them; and I hated walking around and seeing fifty other girls wearing the same thing!
