I wear rings that I got out of quarter machines and they never turned my finger any color, but I just bought a ring from Claire's and my finger got green pretty quickly. Why is that, if I paid 5$ for the Claire's ring and 25 cents for the other ones?

You react differently to different metals. Some people have no reaction to any metals and can wear any ring, I personally can not wear anything that isn't real gold or silver without a bad reaction. If you want inexpensive jewelry try a place like piercing pagoda or even look online for lab created gemstones in a sterling silver setting. Very few people react to sterling silver so you won't have to worry about a reaction, silver isn't very expensive, and lab created stones aren't either. If you love your Claire's ring another option would be to put clear nail polish around the back of it where it touches your finger.

the ring has cheap metal and the finish reacts with your finger and your body heat. Claire's jewelry is really low quality, so chances are the 25 cent ones are made of better (if only slightly better) quality than claire's junk

maybe a reaction to whatever is in the metal? Especially since its costume jewelry
