This happened to me, if you are telling the truth just take it back with the receipt & they will take it off.

Maybe someone gave you a stolen shirt!!!!

Well, all it is is a magnet in there. If you got a strong enough one it would work. There is still the chance that you will just get ink on everything. Why didn't you just go back with the shirts and your receipts, to get them to take off the one and give you money back for the one that you ruined. Maybe now you'll pay more attention to things like that and this won't happen again.

I've had this situation happen to me before also. And a couple of times it's happened and I've just been too lazy to drive all the way back to the mall to have them take it out. You have to be really careful with the ink ones because they will ruin your clothing. For those that have ink I would suggest you take it back to be removed but since in this case they wouldn't do it, you have to CAREFULLY remove it yourself. The way I have removed them in the past is to get a pair of pliers and cut through the needle or metal that holds it together. My dad is a mechanic so he's got all kinds of good tools to use. Just push the fabric to where the metal is showing and be careful to grip only the metal of the security tag with the pliers. Snap it in two with the pliers. Don't pull on the tag and try to yank it out. This method has worked for me each time so hopefully it'll work for you. Good luck!

hahahaha well I asked the same question but i used the knowledge for stealing. for the ink sensors you should try cutting a small hole in your shirt to pull it out with the pin or you can try ripping it out really fast and throwing it ( not recommended) but then again your doing this legally so i would say...goto the store from where you purchased it RECIEPT in hand.. if you dont have a receipt you can try your luck talking with a manager if the cashier gives you a hard time with it.

I believe you, but:

TAKE IT BACK, WITH RECEIPT , and they will remove it !!

Why would you be asking how to remove it, seeing how you ~just~ finished ruining one by the same foolish method? If you did not steal it, take it back where you bought it!!

It's mighty odd that:

1) The store did the same thing to you twice

2) That, after this happening to you the first time, you weren't on-guard and looking....just what exactly were you doing? Did you not remember what had just happened to you?

*If you take it back, w/receipt...the mgr. should put someone's balls in a sling !

It's SUPPOSED to ruin the shirt when you try to remove it yourself !!

That is the way the store "gets back" at people that shop lift. "If we cant have it (aka customer pays for the item) then no one will have it"

Since you're telling the truth, and did not steal the item, AND this is the second time it has happened to you....PLEASE take it back, and rub their face in it (but have the receipt in your hand)

So you bought a shirt and they forgot to remove the sensor. You try to remove it yourself, and the ink ruins your shirt. So, you logically go buy another shrit even though you're not at fault. And they forgot to remove the sensor again. And you're not just taking it back for them to remove it..why?

Just go back to the store with your receipt and ask them to remove the sensor. It's that simple.

If you can take it back to the store, that would be your best bet. If you are just not able to get back to the store, there is a solution.

**Be really careful when you do this**

Slice off the top cone part of the tag with a small saw or a dremel. Take out the spring and other piece. Then, take out all the ball bearings. After you get those out of there, it *should* come apart pretty easily. The ink is in glass tubes, so be careful when you are using the drill and taking it apart.

i don't really care if you did steal it or not but the two best ways to get it off is;

burn the side without the ink with a lighter or soldering iron until you can pull it off

or you can use a rotary tool like a dremel to cut it off or probably a hacksaw

if you legitimatly bought it then you can take th item back to the store you got it from with the reciept and they will remove it

you can use pliers.

you have to be really careful though and not break it or anything.

if its the round one with all the ink inside, don't try anything. just take it back with the receipt.

if it's one of those rectangle cheap ones, (you can tell if it's really light and kindaa flimsy) then you can just get it off with pliers by pinching the middle and bending the plieers upwards.

but you should probably take it back to the store with the receipt and tlel them to take it off.

Yeah, that happened to me about a month ago, you can't take it off yourself otherwise it would just spill ink again.

You have to go back to the store and ask them to take it off for you. Simple.

You take it back to the store with your receipt and they remove it for you. The store manager will definately want to know if the employees aren't doing their jobs right.

Umm well you have 2 options.

1. take it back to the shop to have it removed.

2. Stixk the shirt in the freezer to freeze the liquid and then smash it off!.

lol goodluck

you can't take them off unless you have the tool they use, so your going to have to go back to the store and have them take it off for you, just show them the recipt, but if you cant find the recipt here is how you can take it off your shrit:

i found a forum about it.

Thats the only thing i could find.

and i beleive you didnt steal :]

once they did that to me,

i just went back to the store though and had them take it off for me so i wouldnt ruin the shirt.

good luck!

I had the same problem with a pair of jeans and it wasn't worth driving a half hour to have it removed (and be treated like a shoplifter). Here's a link to instructions:

Hope this helps!

You can't take it off at home. Sorry, you have to take it back to the store. They have special machines to take them off.
