I hate jeans because I'm overweight and currently am in an awkward body type position where nothing really fits right.

I just need some affordable, nice-looking jeans for the first semester of college. I plan on losing weight with a biggest loser-type program my college does.

But for now, I need some jeans.
I currently own Old Navy jeans, though I am not very happy with them.
I mainly own "The Flirt" style and one pair of "The Diva"
I currently wear a size 18 long, which is hard to find in-store at old navy sometimes, but i might benefit from a plus size, but worry because it might increaze baggy-ness in some areas.
The length of long is just right for my legs.

The problem is, I'm kinda pear shaped.
I'm 5 feet and 7 and a half inches tall, and weigh 220 pounds. My extra pounds are found in my belly and thighs, but not my butt.

I don't have much of a butt, so when my jeans get stretched out, they are really baggy in my rear, but I have to get an 18 in order to fit around my belly fat.

I think something that slims would be best and fits around my waist, but also actually fits my butt!

Help!!!!

I also have love handles. some jeans result in muffin tops.

I know your pain. Size 24! Trouser jeans work miracles. They won't overly hug your pear shape. I own three pairs. Sometimes you need to get the pants tailored. Always buy to fit the hips and not the waist. It's easy to tailor the waist. Just be careful of a** pockets and a lot of belt loops on the waist. Plus jeans with a little stretch won't sag as much if you get your size or smaller.

To get rid of the muffin top, use a high waisted panty girdle. They feel like panties, not at all tight and restrictive. If you are a size 18, a 1X should do the trick for you. Trust me, they are miracle workers. Target, Ross, Wal-mart carries good inexpensive ones. The best ones look like a pair of panties.

Follow this advice, expect to turn heads. Depending on how you look wear your blouses tucked or untucked. To balance out your shape play up your bosom.

Last secrets, I hate to give them out. But, I can't help but look out for my sisters of size. There is a company called MJR Sales. They have a web site and and ebay auction site. There auctions are fab, especially the underwear. Five lane bryant bras for less than $13. Check out Avenue and CJ Banks. The carry tall jeans and have a ton of internet sales. Just find coupon codes for them on the net, get additional discounts plus free shipping. Also, type in plus size fashion tips at you tube. These women will give you an education.

Plus size in college can be hard, but I always had a date on Saturday night. I want the same for you, sister. Much Love!

This may sound dumb, but do you have to wear jeans? You might find a more tailored look with casual khaki or twill pants. Believe it or not, you may be able to obtain a good look with leggings and a tunic or longer, button down top. You can wear heels or flats, but I wouldn't pair jeans or leggings with athletic shoes. That's not flattering to any body. Do you feel comfortable in below the knee skirts? This skirt would hit right below your knee. Most women don't mind showing their legs from that point, down. If you go for jeans DO look for the "curvy" fit. Don't feel bad shopping at specialty shops like Lane Bryant. They carry clothes designed to look nice on a full figure. Lee pants have a hidden sort of elastic waistband that doesn't roll because it's thick. Go for boot cut, NEVER tapered. Regarding your butt, I think you'll find that if you spend just a little more on a better pair of pants for your body you will have more options, OR if you pay less for pants, consider having them tailored so they fit you better. Look online at some of the Full Figured models today, I'm sorry I don't have a link, but check out how they're dressing for some tips. I'm a size 8 in those Diva blue jean shorts, and I'm not entirely thrilled with the fit, so don't think it's only you. Also, have you ever tried one of those simple, smoothing cami-type girdles, or a cincher? They're not all impossible or uncomfortable to wear, and I've used them, too.

I weigh 135 pounds in my size 8 body, and have clothing issues, too. Anyway, there are So many styles and manufacturers to choose from, and you might find that just smoothing things out a bit will help alot. You may also find some surprises in the Plus sizes at Charlotte Russe stores. I would look for a girdle that has the hip and thigh support, and they often have a "bottom" shaping effect. Oh, do try to buy nice underwear, too, that help shape you. Ambrielle and Olga offer some very nice ones, and you won't go broke, though buying a couple of pair will seem a little pricey at first, but it's worth it! Good luck, and maybe take a close friend shopping with you for honest opinions. :)

I suppose skinny denims might simply make your legs appear better. Possibly are attempting straight legged ones, or high waisted ones to add size. Go for a darker colour as well. High heels are great too for top if you wish to appear taller. :)
