Is it true that if you sit in a tub of hot water while wearing jeans they'll shrink?

I bought a really nice pair of jeans but they're a size bigger than what I usually wear and I'm trying to figure out how to shrink them. I heard that if you fill your bathtub with hot water and put on your jeans and sit in the tub for a while, they'll shrink.

Has anyone tried this?
Does it work permanently?

u don't have to sit in the tub wearing them... just washing them or leaving your jeans in hot water will probably make it smaller =)

Whoever informed you which you should bathe with denims on is an fool. They have been in basic terms attempting to apply you. no one showers with outfits. do not bathe with them on! placed them to bathe and then placed them interior the dryer. Do it 2 or thrice if needed.

um...idk if that works but i know that if you wash them two times in hot water then it will shrink them

i doubt it cause you will be wearing them so it is a bit impossible.
